Construction Resource Sorter Training is brought to you from Sime of Pasifika group supported by the construction industry.  It is dedicated to providing professional training to individuals and companies in the waste management industry. We offer a course that teach the skills required to sort and manage construction waste in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Our goal is to help reduce landfill waste and promote the use of recycled materials in construction projects.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Stage 1 is to take the Resource Sorter trainees through classroom style teaching experience. Learning about different construction materials and when recycled what new products can be made. Touching on waste diversion and ending with a video showing best practice procedures for collecting and sorting waste materials.

 

Stage 2 consists of a workbook that records 5 days of physical working on site as a Resource Sorter, putting into practice the learnings from the classroom.

WHY CHOOSE US

40% to 50% of waste in landfills is from construction sites. This course is designed to guide new Resource Sorters to learn better waste management systems on construction sites. This will also reflect the requirements of councils throughout NZ who have a goal of zero waste by 2040. The course is designed for various learning experiences.
