Completing the Resource Sorter course was a real wake-up call. I always knew construction sites generated a lot of waste, but seeing just how much—and how much of it could be reused or recycled—changed my perspective entirely.
So much material that gets discarded—wood, metal, plasterboard—still has value. It’s not just about waste management; it’s about making smarter choices from the start and ensuring everything that can be salvaged actually is.
One simple but crucial takeaway? Properly labeled bins. If sorting is clear, there’s no excuse for not recycling. It’s a small step that makes a huge difference in keeping reusable materials out of the landfill and putting them back into good use.
This course has reshaped how I see waste on-site. From now on, there’s no looking the other way—every scrap counts toward a more sustainable future.
