Our first cohort of Futures, Employment Pathway students is making remarkable progress! We recently came together to celebrate their accomplishments, including their graduation from the Resource Sorter training program. The Resource Sorter – Construction course, led by Sime Group, equips students with valuable waste minimisation skills that can be applied on construction sites, in their homes, or within their communities.
Already, two students have secured apprenticeships, with another apprenticeship likely to be confirmed soon. Meanwhile, two students are gaining valuable work experience with The Labour Exchange as they continue their apprenticeship search.
We’re thrilled by the success of this pilot initiative, which is a collaborative effort involving Naylor Love, Ara Education Charitable Trust, The Labour Exchange, the Ministry of Social Development, and Auckland Council.
