Resource Sorter Training with Naylor Love - Christchurch

On the 8th of August, 2024, Sime Group successfully facilitated an innovative Resource Sorter Construction training for Naylor Love employees in Christchurch. This milestone event highlighted the importance of sustainable practices within the construction industry, aiming to divert waste from landfills and embrace a greener future.

The training introduced participants to the Waste Hierarchy, emphasizing the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials, along with a focus on all the different types of plastics found on construction sites. These critical insights sparked lively discussions among attendees, reinforcing their shared commitment to sustainability.

A key takeaway from the session was the unanimous agreement among participants on the importance of involving all subcontractors in the initiative. They recognized the value of aligning all stakeholders toward the shared goal of minimizing construction waste and driving impactful change across the industry.

With events like this, Sime Group continues to lead the charge in promoting environmental sustainability and fostering collaborative action within the construction sector.
